Designing with Clicks & Creativity:
Online Course Development

Welcome to Learning Without Walls, my distance-learning course where young writers (ages 8–12) go on a storytelling adventure called “The Digital Story Adventure!” Learners plan it, write it, record it, and publish it, all inside a friendly, step-by-step online journey that turns “blank page panic” into “I’ve got this!” confidence. Along the way, students use Story Mountain to shape a strong narrative, roll Story Dice to generate ideas, strengthen word choice with an adjective bank, and bring their stories to life with visuals and voice narration, all while practising safe and responsible use of digital tools.

Designing with Guided Pathways:
The Digital Story Adventure

Welcome to a distance learning course where the blank page stops being intimidating and becomes an invitation. Built in TalentLMS, this experience opens with a “Start Here” pathway that orients learners, checks tools, and sets expectations. From there, learners follow a structured sequence of short tasks and interactive practice that support story planning, narrative structur,e and creative writing, leading to a final digital story submission. It is designed to be simple to navigate, engaging to complete, and clear enough for learners to work independently.

Designing with Brains & a Blueprint:
Constructivism & ADDIE Model

This infographic is my “behind-the-scenes” snapshot of how the course was designed. Constructivism drives the learning experience through hands-on creation and social learning, while ADDIE keeps the build organised from analysis to evaluation. In short: learners get freedom to create, and the course gets a clear structure that supports them all the way to the final digital story submission.
